FALL CLASSES FOR 2025!

Classes are held at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, 3330 Civic Center Drive
Classes begin the week of September 9th, 2025 unless otherwise noted.

Acting: Scene Study & Monologues

This dynamic acting class is designed for beginner to intermediate students looking to build a strong foundation in performance through the exploration of scenes and monologues from plays and films. Students will develop essential skills in script interpretation, character analysis, and emotional truth, working both independently and in collaboration with scene partners. 8 weeks

 

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration is open now for Torrance residents and non-residents!

Registration can be completed online, or at the Registration Office.  Every participant must have a profile in the City's registration system to register. Proof of residency is required. The Registration Office is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. alternating with a closed Friday every other week.  The Registration Office will be closed: September 2, 6 and 20; October 4 and 18.

Fees and Registration Information

Financial assistance may be available to Torrance residents for children under the age of 18 years of age for Torrance Community Services Department classes and programs.  Guidelines have been established to assist families who are residents of the City of Torrance.  Scholarships are based on need, merit, and availability of funding.  Click here for the Community Services Department Scholarship Guidelines and Application.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The City of Torrance’s refund policy varies among individual classes/activities. Not all fees are refundable; 20% administrative fee deducted per class. A full refund will ONLY be issued for city-cancelled classes.
